"Cave-Penney Cross"

We were on the moor above Dartmeet to see the pony drift, (the annual gathering of the Dartmoor ponies for a health check to sort & sell as they make brilliant riding ponies) I positioned myself below Cave Penney Cross as the ponies sped by, giving me this fabulous shot.
This is a modern granite cross, erected in memory of Lieutenant Evelyn Cave-Penney, killed by a sniper in Palestine in action leading his men during the First World War. The socket stone, (called the Belstone Bible) on the north face you will see inscribed the words
To the glory of god and to the dear memory of Evelyn Anthony Cave Penney Lieut. Q.V.O. Corps of Guides. Fell in Palestine whilst gallantly commanding his men June 8th 1918 Aged 19

Open Edition Giclee signed print.
Complete with certificate of authenticity.
Rolled print size approx 28"x 9". £45.00 inc p&p UK mainland
Rolled print size approx 19”x 6” £35 inc p&p UK mainland

Brian takes great pride in printing images that are an investment for the future. Limited & Open edition prints are on museum archive paper with giclee printing; a silicone bubble surrounds each tiny droplet of pigment ink used, which means the print will not fade
